YOU AND I RELSISH IN EXHCNAGED AMOUROUS STARES

I write this romantic rhapsody:

Tonight, we stayed up listening to Mk.Gee, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder, discussing our shared hometown and the destruction of it all.

You told me the beauty in their voices remind you of I, and the destruction represents our forced growth.

You follow with sentimental feelings I wasn’t aware still existed until now.

It amazed you how after decades we still feel the same as we once did as kids.

I told you I felt the same. We then exchanged amorous stares to relish in.

You ask me if I’m committed to someone and I tell you no, and ask the same.

You express your fear of being perceived because of who you are and I remind you of who I knew before it all.

You smile.

As you watch me write this resting upon your lap, you praise my epideictic skills and write your own.

You act out your piece for me describing I as a creative sylph unable to be tied down, but ready to love.

Fueling your fire to understand me deeper everyday.

I clap and you bow.

Finally, blowing a kiss I catch and savor in my locket.
